Student Organizations

Through student organizations, Furman undergraduates have numerous opportunities to volunteer in the community and expand their professional network. These organizations host social events, seminars, and career information sessions. If you’re interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, we encourage you to get involved.

AED- Alpha Epsilon Delta, National Pre-Health Honor Society

Furman’s chapter of AED strives to encourage an appreciation for pre-health education and to build connections between pre-health students, faculty, and active health professionals. Our local chapter sponsors monthly informational sessions and community outreach programs.

FUMMO – Furman University Medical Missions Organization

A global health awareness group, FUMMO aims to remove barriers that prevent people from receiving medical treatment. Through fundraising and coordinating awareness events, FUMMO supports medical missions in the Greenville community and abroad.

PHOKUS – Promoting Healthy Options through Knowledge, Understanding, and Service

PHOKUS promotes health and wellness in all aspects of life through campus-wide events such as the Health Fair and outdoor fitness classes. Stay healthy with PHOKUS.
