Kirsten Arms holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Furman University. She began working part-time as a communications officer in September 2021, transitioned to a full-time communications officer in June 2022, and joined administration in November 2023. She started her career with University Police as a crime analyst intern during the summer of 2020. She became a student worker for the department for the 2020-2021 school year, and her student service concluded upon her graduation in May 2021.

In addition to the police department, Kirsten was an active participant in multiple organizations during her time at Furman, including: Furman Bands, Paladin Regiment, Furman Percussion Ensemble, Furman Symphony Orchestra, Lakeside Band, Housing and Residence Life, and the Furman Sleep Lab.

Kirsten resides in the Travelers Rest area with her husband, Micah.
