Over the years, Jennifer Bernabe worked her way from a cubicle in the back as a graphic designer to the board room as the art director for an international corporation, and then started her own company in 1999. As Artistic Creator and Owner of ALIZONDesign in Greenville, SC, Bernabe collaborates with more than 50 clients from international corporations to small businesses providing each with the unique mixture of advertising, marketing and design required to make their projects successful.
In 1993, Bernabe began her career as a graphic designer for Eberts Sportswear Corporation in Columbia, SC, creating unique designs for accounts such as Coca Cola’s “Polar Bear” campaign, UMBRO and Kmart’s Collegiate Sportswear. In 1997, she became the Art Director for Dunlop/Maxfli/Slazenger International Sports Corporation where she directed the art department in creating advertising campaigns and interfaced with international advertising agencies. As the Managing Art Director for Christine Breaux’s Weddings In Style Magazine in New Orleans, LA, Bernabe designed and orchestrated the construction of a bi-yearly magazine, and coordinated the marketing and promotions for bi-annual wedding shows.
Prior to teaching for Furman University Evening Studies, Bernabe taught various graphic and digital design courses for ITT Tech in Greenville, SC. As ITT’s Adjunct Instructor for Visual Communications, she Inspired students of all ages and cultures to embrace their visual creativity through interesting labs and personalized projects. Bernabe holds a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design, and a Bachelor of Arts with a Concentration in Graphic Arts from the University of South Carolina.
