All Furman families are invited to a special Bicentennial barbecue tailgate. The menu features recipes from the new cookbook, Paladin Plates: Celebrating 200 Years Around the Furman Dinner Table<\/a><\/i>. Come enjoy pulled pork, fall harvest slaw, New England baked beans (Bryan Ouellette, P’28), Janie’s macaroni and cheese (Julie Smith ’76), and assorted cookies (inspired by Sarah Herring ’66). Vegetarian option available. Children 5 and under are free. Purchase your tickets online. <\/a><\/p>\n

Please note: Furman students need a tailgate ticket as well.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Copies of the cookbook will be available for sale at the tailgate check-in table, and you can have it signed by First Gentleman, Charles Davis!<\/p>\n

Plan ahead:<\/strong> <\/span>This tailgate takes place outdoors, with no shade<\/em>, please pack accordingly. If you plan to attend the football game, remember that the Paladin Stadium<\/a> has a clear bag policy. Indoor restrooms or port-a-potties are located nearby the tailgate.<\/p>\n

Directions to the PAC via Main Gate<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

From Poinsett Highway (US 276 West), take the exit toward Furman University and enter campus through the main gates. At the first traffic circle, take the 5th exit and proceed down the Furman Mall. About midway down the mall use either of the two cross-streets to enter into the Daniel Chapel parking lots on the left.\u00a0 Overflow (free) parking will also be available by the McAlister Auditorium and Admissions buildings with limited trolley service available between locations.<\/p>\n

Directions to PAC via Timmons Arena Gate (South Gate)<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

From Poinsett Highway (US 276 West), take the exit toward Timmons Arena and Paladin Stadium. Turn onto Old Buncombe Road and then then turn right onto Duncan Chapel Road. Continue for roughly half a mile and turn right onto Timmons Drive through the Timmons Arena gate. Proceed past Timmons Arena and the Paladin Stadium and make a right onto Cherrydale Lane. Enter the traffic circle and take the first exit to proceed down the Furman Mall.
