As you know, faculty and staff are required annually to complete an online course on preventing and addressing sexual misconduct, which contains important information about your responsibilities if a student or another employee reports concerns regarding sexual misconduct.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Furman partners with United Educators, a company that offers training solutions for students and employees of post-secondary institutions in order to meet the compliance requirements set forth by Federal law.<\/p>\n
The United Educators\u2019 Title IX training \u2013 \u201cTitle IX and You: Protecting Your Campus\u201d is a blend of short videos, statements, and simple quizzes.\u00a0 Most have found that it can be completed in about 45 minutes.\u00a0 Please download and review these instructions<\/a> before you begin.<\/p>\n The deadline for completing the training is Friday, February 14, 2025.\u00a0 <\/strong>As there is no single sign on for this training, it will be necessary to access the United Educators’ login page<\/a> either from this webpage or from MyFurman and selecting “Harassment Training” from the A-Z Index.\u00a0 Unique usernames and passwords were e-mailed to each employee.\u00a0 The e-mail, “Campus-Wide Title IX Training” was sent on January 6 from the Title IX e-mail address.<\/p>\n Please note that any new employee who completed the training in December 2024 is not required to complete the training at this time.<\/p>\n Furman faculty and staff are encouraged to take a few minutes to review Furman\u2019s Sexual Misconduct Policy at\u00a0www.furman.edu\/titleIX<\/a>.\u00a0 This policy provides resources and support for those reporting sexual misconduct, as well as a fair and thorough process for investigating and resolving complaints.\u00a0 For questions regarding the policy, please contact Title IX and ADA Coordinator,\u00a0Melissa Nichols<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Furman is committed to maintaining and strengthening a community founded on civility and respect.
