The exhibition is free and open to the public. Thompson Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. &#8211; 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>May, associate professor of art, received his BFA in Painting from Ball State University. Upon graduation, he held several jobs in a direct care capacity for children with special needs, young adults with criminal records and adults with mental illnesses. During that time, he continued drawing, painting and exhibiting his creative work around the Midwest and the United States.<\/p>\n<p>He received his MFA in Painting from Miami University (Ohio) and has since been teaching painting, drawing, foundations and capstone classes while maintaining an active exhibition record. May is a winner of the Ohio Arts Council\u2019s Individual Excellence Award for painting.
