It showcases a number of different artists from the community as well as the social need to address the contributions of women in the area, including Furman alumna Sarah Reese &#8217;71 H&#8217;14. One of the first Black women to attend the university, Reese would later become a world-famous opera singer, making her New York debut in 1981 and performing with some of the world\u2019s most famous orchestras and conductors.
