Furman student Sydney Beason ’22 is going the extra mile for cancer research. This summer, she will set out on a cross-country run, from Baltimore to San Francisco, hoping to make an impact every step of the way for young adults battling cancer.<\/p>\n
Beason, a public health major, was diagnosed with cancer at 17, two years after her mother’s own battle with cancer. She will run with 10 teammates, each logging about 16 miles a day, to raise money for the Ulman Foundation.
