She replaces Stella Low who served in that role for less than a year.<\/p>\n<p>As VP of communications, she reports directly to Apple CEO Tim Cook.<\/p>\n<p>Quayle joined Apple in 2005 and previously served as VP of corporate communications.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2022\/01\/20\/former-cisco-exec-turned-apple-communications-vp-departs-after-less-than-a-year-kristin-huguet-to-take-over\/\">9TO5Mac<\/a>, an Apple spokesperson said, &#8220;Kristin has played an instrumental role sharing Apple\u2019s story of incredible innovation and strong values for more than 15 years.
