The reaction on social media and elsewhere caught Deluca by surprise. \u201cAlmost every single one of my teammates, and almost everyone I\u2019ve come in contact with at college, gave me love. And I didn\u2019t expect it,\u201d he said in an <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outsports.com\/2021\/12\/3\/22814852\/ryan-deluca-furman-football-wide-receiver-gay-come-out-instagram\">Outsports<\/a><\/strong> article. Furman Head Coach Clay Hendrix also voiced his support. \u201cRyan\u2019s been a great student, player, teammate and friend to everybody in our program and on campus.
