John Warner, founder of Innoventure and self-described “serial entrepreneur,” joined Mike Switzer, host of public radio program “South Carolina Business Review.” Warner spoke about the latest infusion of endowment funds for Furman University’s Hill Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, so named for longtime benefactors Robert Hill ’83, a business administration and economics graduate, and his wife Margaret Platt Hill ’83, an English alumna. Robert Hill is also a member of the Furman Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n
Warner commented on Furman becoming a “real player” in the innovation and entrepreneurship space with the hiring of Anthony Herrera to lead the effort, and Furman’s role in the Crescent Startup Community, a large-scale innovation district planned for 7 acres along Poinsett Highway near Furman.
