The political science and history alumna joins 25 Upstate leaders who hold professional influence while also making a difference in their communities. The honorees will be recognized during a luncheon Dec. 9 at the Commerce Club, and individual profiles will appear in a special print section of GSA Business Report.<\/p>\n<p>Witherspoon was also recently named to <a href=\"https:\/\/news.furman.edu\/2021\/09\/17\/kimberly-witherspoon-named-a-bond-buyer-2021-rising-star\/\">The Bond Buyer\u2019s 2021 Rising Stars<\/a> list, which honors municipal finance professionals under the age of 40 whose leadership, collaborative spirit, innovation and creativity have enabled them to make a positive contribution to their community.<\/p>\n<p>A former member of the Furman University Alumni Board, Witherspoon holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kimberly Witherspoon, a public finance attorney at Haynesworth Sinkler Boyd and a 2006 Furman University graduate, has been named among GSA Business Report&#8217;s 2021 Women of Influence.
