Previously, the pool of funds earmarked for men&#8217;s soccer scholarships stood at $27,000. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/greenvillejournal.com\/sports\/furman-mens-soccer-scholarship-fund-nears-1-million-mark\/\">Greenville Journal<\/a><\/strong> reported on Furman&#8217;s retooled strategy for giving, a major factor in the increase in donations across the board for Furman Athletics.<\/p>\n<p>Rob Victor &#8217;09, who led the fundraising effort for men&#8217;s soccer, said, \u201cYou want to give back to things because they had a massive impact on you and you hope it can have the same impact on the next generation. At the end of the day, I\u2019m where I\u2019m at today because of Furman Men\u2019s Soccer and (coach) Doug Allison.
