Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for students. The performance is part of Furman\u2019s Cultural Life Program. Furman\u2019s Thomas Joiner and Hugh Floyd will conduct the FSO and chorus in Ralph Vaughan Williams\u2019 \u201cLark Ascending\u201d and cantata, \u201cHodie\u201d (\u201cThis Day\u201d). Furman Distinguished Visiting Professor of Violin William Preucil will be the featured guest soloist in \u201cLark Ascending.\u201d Student soloists in Williams\u2019 \u201cHodie\u201d are: Jessica Bitter \u201813, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Caleb Hopkins \u201813, Greenwood Kira Kaplan \u201815, Mechanicsburg, Pa. Ben Keiper \u201814, Greenville, N.C. Bryce McClendon \u201815, Greer Lindsey Singleton \u201813, Greer Andrew Wear \u201813, Huntsville, Ala. Katy Wilson \u201815, Raleigh, N.C. Also joining the performance of \u201cHodie\u201d is Chicora Voices, The Children\u2019s Choir of Greenville (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicoravoices.org\/\">www.chicoravoices.org<\/a>) under the leadership of artistic director Alan Reed and conductor Laura Jean Reed. Concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra since 1995, Preucil has appeared regularly as soloist in concerto performances at both Severance Hall and the annual Blossom Festival. Prior to joining the Cleveland Orchestra, Preucil served seven seasons as first violinist of the Grammy-winning Cleveland Quartet, performing more than 100 concerts each year in the world\u2019s major music capitals.
