It’s safe to say Homecoming 2020 was a homecoming like no other in Furman’s history, but while the activities looked a little different students, faculty and staff worked together to organize a robust schedule of safe and fun in-person, on-campus events for the campus community. The weeklong celebration that began Oct. 17 and ran until Oct. 24 included a Student Alumni Council (SAC) chalking contest, athletic team scrimmages as part of the department’s Purple and White Week, FUSAB’s three-day “DIN it to WIN it” event, in which two students from each class competed for a trophy, $500 in prizes, bragging rights and a Waffle House food truck night for 250 members of the winning class, and a Rollin’ Dins Parade co-sponsored by SAC and FUSAB.<\/p>\n
All events were approved by the Fall Planning Steering Committee and Public Health and Safety Advisory Group, in accordance with our campus event policies and guidelines as well as Furman’s health and safety protocols.
