Carmela Epright, a philosophy professor at Furman University, and Michael Seemuller, medical director for AnMed Health Wren Family Medicine, have written an opinion piece in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.postandcourier.com\/health\/covid19\/commentary-flexibility-and-power-of-community-are-keys-to-making-right-choice-for-students\/article_160600da-d1af-11ea-99bd-87bcf754645b.html\">The Post &amp; Courier<\/a> <\/strong>about reopening schools amid the COVID-19 pandemic. They say children who are most impacted by not attending in-person classes include &#8220;those with learning disabilities or customized education plans; those whose families lack access to supplies or the internet; and those whose parents are unable to work from home,&#8221; among other considerations.<\/p>\n<p>Epright and Seemuller suggest that more families consider at-home learning for their children to make room in schools for children most in need of in-person learning.
