We’re celebrating our seniors – Furman University’s class of 2020!<\/p>\n
President Elizabeth Davis and Senior Class President Jaylon Goodwin will deliver a pre-recorded video message on May 9, the date the university had planned to gather and confer seniors\u2019 degrees in front of the Furman family. The video will be emailed to seniors and their families in the morning and posted on Furman\u2019s website that morning.<\/p>\n
At 3 p.m. on May 9, we will also feature a live performance dedicated to the class of 2020 by singer-songwriter Emily Scott Robinson<\/a> \u201909 on Furman’s Instagram. Please check the Furman\u00a0news page<\/a> and social media channels on May 9 for details and to view Emily\u2019s special senior tribute concert live on Furman\u2019s Instagram at 3 p.m. that afternoon. The show will be available for 24 hours.<\/p>\n In addition to this tribute, the Furman community is celebrating seniors\u2019 achievements, including award winners<\/a>\u00a0 and our Senior Spotlights<\/a>, and sharing messages of encouragement, celebration and congratulations in many ways. To show your support for seniors, be sure to\u00a0<\/span>post your personal messages<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>using #Furman2020\u00a0from your public Instagram and Twitter social media accounts.<\/p>\n As President Davis and others have shared, Furman will \u00a0hold an in-person Commencement ceremony and celebration for the class of 2020 in the fall.
