Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) voted &#8220;present&#8221; on the articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, in one of the sharpest splits she has made with her party while seeking its presidential nomination. Gabbard, who spoke at a town hall meeting Dec. 15 on the campus of Furman University, was on the fence about her intentions ahead of Wednesday&#8217;s vote. &#8220;I&#8217;m taking this time for myself to be able to review everything that&#8217;s happened, all the information that&#8217;s been put forward,&#8221; she said. &#8220;And just all the factors that go into really trying to figure out what is the best action to take for our country. And for democracy. It&#8217;s not a simple or easy decision to make.&#8221; Gabbard&#8217;s visit was sponsored by Furman College Democrats and Conservative Society.
