The Furman University assistant professor of health sciences has a number of claims to fame while growing up in Greenville, South Carolina, including a youth governorship during her time at Southside High School and the Fine Arts Center.<\/p>\n<p>Her more recent credentials include a bachelor&#8217;s from Oglethorpe University, master&#8217;s degrees from Emory and Harvard Kennedy School of Government, a doctorate from Harvard&#8217;s T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and service in the Peace Corps. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=p8qwZQl0nnY\">Greenville County Schools<\/a><\/strong> posted a three-minute video of her accomplishments.
