Furman University&#8217;s Brooke Culclasure of the Riley Institute, David Fleming, Riley Institute researcher and professor in the Department of Politics and International Affairs, and Furman alumnus Daniel Zhang &#8217;17 studied a total of nearly 150 children at a Montessori public school and children at a demographically similar traditional public school. Their findings were published in the <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.ku.edu\/jmr\/article\/view\/7695\/12510\"><strong>Journal of Montessori Research<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Zhang, a Furman political science graduate, is a master\u2019s candidate in the Security Studies Program at Georgetown University\u2019s Edmund A.
