Citing Iran&#8217;s homeland security concerns, President Trump&#8217;s pull back from the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and the little-known U.S. coup against Iran in 1953, Malici says it&#8217;s rational for Iran to move toward a nuclear approach to defend itself.
