{"id":8350,"date":"2019-08-20T17:11:42","date_gmt":"2019-08-20T17:11:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.furman.edu\/news\/2019\/08\/20\/theatre\/"},"modified":"2022-09-07T15:29:09","modified_gmt":"2022-09-07T19:29:09","slug":"theatre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.furman.edu\/news\/theatre\/","title":{"rendered":"Furman Theatre Announces 2019-20 season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Furman University Department of Theatre Arts has announced its 2019-2020 season.<\/p>\n<p>A part of the university\u2019s history for nearly a century, Furman Theatre brings to the stage a musical and three plays for the season.<\/p>\n<p>The season opens Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m. with the musical \u201cPippin.\u201d Tickets for the musical are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors and $12 for students.<\/p>\n<p>Single ticket prices for each of the three plays are $18 for adults, $16 for seniors, and $10 for students. Single tickets are available for purchase two weeks prior to the show\u2019s opening night.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.furman.edu\/academics\/theatre-arts\/performances\/tickets\/\">Season tickets<\/a> are available for purchase now. Four season tickets are $61 for adults, $51 for seniors, and $29 for students.<\/p>\n<p>All shows take place in The Playhouse, which is celebrating 50 years in operation on the Furman campus.
