Thompson Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday. A reception honoring the artists is set for Tuesday, April 9, 6-8 p.m. in the Roe Art Building.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_38392\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-38392\" class=\"wp-image-38392 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/news.furman.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Senior-Art-Show-ceramics-and-fabrics-1200.jpg\" alt=\"furman art\" width=\"300\" height=\"450\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/450;\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-38392\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Finley Buchanan is among the 12 seniors showing work at the exhibition.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Presented by the Furman Department of Art, the exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>In the exhibition, \u201c\u00c9nouement,\u201d artists will display a variety of mediums: painting, ceramics, photography, mixed media, digital painting and sculpture. Many works will be available for sale.<\/p>\n<p>The Class of 2019 offers this statement about \u201c\u00c9nouement\u201d:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Each senior\u2019s work references something specific to their personal journey, for example, struggling with depression, overcoming the stages of grief, experiencing the world through their sanctuaries, and relaying stories that focus on the transformative power of imagination and art. The title \u2018\u00c9nouement\u2019 references each senior\u2019s bittersweet longing to tell their past selves how they have navigated the twists and turns of life.
