Wristbands for floor access are available for purchase at the concert. Tickets and floor access wristbands for Furman students, staff and faculty are available through regular campus outlets.<\/p>\n<p>Amin\u00e9 is best known for his Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) triple-platinum breakout hit \u201cCaroline,\u201d which later scored a quadruple-platinum certification from RIAA after the song was featured on his debut album \u201cGOODFORYOU\u201d that went Gold.<\/p>\n<p>Buoyed by \u201cCaroline,\u201d which peaked at No. 11 on Billboard\u2019s Hot 100 Songs Chart, \u201cRedMercedes\u201d and \u201cWedding Crashers,\u201d the album won the attention of XXL magazine, which chose him for one of the coveted cover stars for its \u201c2017 Freshman Class.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In his first major profile, The New York Times described \u201cGOODFORYOU\u201d as \u201camiable, inventive and idiosyncratic, one of the year\u2019s most intriguing hip-hop albums and also a bold statement of left-field pop.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Between explosive sets at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and beyond, he delivered show-stopping performances on \u201cThe Tonight Show\u201d starring Jimmy Fallon, \u201cLate Night\u201d with Seth Meyers, and others, solidifying his command of the stage.<\/p>\n<p>A fan of all genres, and son of Ethiopian immigrants, the rapper, artist, and director draws equal influence from his parents\u2019 heritage as he does from trailblazers such as Kanye West and Andr\u00e9 3000. \u201cMy parents always played African music and Bob Marley,\u201d said Amin\u00e9 in his Republic Records biography. \u201cI grew up on everything from Erykah Badu to John Mayer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Building on a lifelong passion for music, he began recording in high school, quietly sharpening his mic skills. While attending Portland State University, in his hometown, he released his 2015 project \u201cCalling Brio.\u201d Merging visual lyricism, swaggering production, and clever bars, it became a phenomenon on Soundcloud, racking up over a million plays, and drawing the attention of Complex magazine as an artist to watch.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, Amin\u00e9 released \u201cONEPOINTFIVE,\u201d which he described as an \u201cEPLPMixtapeAlbum.\u201d His second full-length project is due out this year.
