Kenan, Jr. Professor of Politics and International Affairs at Furman University, will look at what happened in the midterm election when he speaks at the High Noon lecture series Wednesday, Nov. 7.<\/p>\n<p>His presentation, \u201cBack to Normal? Analyzing the Results of the Midterm Election,\u201d will begin at noon at the Upcountry History Museum-Furman University. It is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>Guth\u2019s talk is the final lecture of the fall series.<\/p>\n<p>While American midterm elections usually follow predictable patterns, nothing seems predictable in the Trump era. Guth will look at whether Congressional contests followed historical trends and what policy changes might follow in the aftermath of the midterms.<\/p>\n<p>All lectures begin at noon and last one hour.\u00a0 The Upcountry History Museum\/Furman is located at 540 Buncombe Street in downtown Greenville\u2019s Heritage Green area.
