Furman University is the top-rated school in South Carolina and ranked among the top 20 percent of the nation\u2019s best colleges and universities in Forbes’ 2018 list of \u201cAmerica\u2019s Top Colleges.\u201d<\/p>\n
Furman is ranked No. 113 among 650 schools listed by the publication and No. 21 among the \u201cTop 25 Colleges in The South.\u201d\u00a0 The university was also ranked 112th in the category of \u201cGrateful Grads 2018\u2014200 Colleges with The Happiest, Most Successful Alumni.\u201d<\/p>\n
Now in its 11th year, the Forbes list of \u201cAmerica\u2019s Top Colleges\u201d focuses on the direct benefits the schools provide their graduates. According to the publication, \u201cwhile other lists consider acceptance rates and admitted students\u2019 SAT scores, we look at alumni salaries, debt after graduation, retention and graduation rates, debt load upon graduation, alumni salaries and signs of individual success including academic and career accolades.\u201d<\/p>\n
