Day on Tuesday, April 10 at various locations on campus.<\/p>\n<p>Furman Engaged! celebrates the wide-ranging research, scholarship and creativity of Furman University undergraduates. The exhibits and performances for Furman Engaged! are free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_36013\" style=\"width: 460px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-36013\" class=\"wp-image-36013 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.furman.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/218\/2022\/08\/Engaged-lab2-2017-1140.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 450px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 450\/300;\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-36013\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Classes are suspended for the day to allow students to freely explore Engaged! exhibits.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Launched by the Office of Undergraduate Research and Internships in 2009, the annual event brings the Furman campus community and visitors together for a day set aside for presentations, posters and performances.<\/p>\n<p>For the 10th installment of Furman Engaged! classes are suspended for the day allowing students to freely explore the exhibits and attend performances.<\/p>\n<p>A hallmark of The Furman Advantage, high-impact learning experiences like undergraduate research, internships, study away programs, creative projects, service learning, capstone and other projects are on display during the forum. At 9 a.m. in McAlister Auditorium, faculty, staff, an alumna and a senior student will discuss how engaged learning fits into the broader landscape of higher education.
