The study shows that low-income, non-low-income, black, white, male, and female students in Montessori schools demonstrated significantly more progress than their non-Montessori peers, reported\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.the74million.org\/new-south-carolina-study-of-public-montessori-schools-shows-majority-low-income-students-outperforming-peers\/\"><strong>The 74<\/strong><\/a><em><strong>,\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>a non-profit, non-partisan news site covering education in America.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montessoripublic.org\/2018\/01\/largest-ever-montessori-study-strengths-across-race-income\/\"><strong>Montessori Public<\/strong><\/a> also unpacked the findings and said, &#8220;The researchers and funders associated with the Riley Institute at Furman that made this [study] happen have delivered a phenomenal contribution to Montessori research.&#8221; The study is mentioned in the <em><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.indexjournal.com\/news\/huge-footprint-self-family-foundation-helped-transform-area-in-its\/article_461801df-dd54-5c59-b65a-1125298e9ef6.html\">Index-Journal<\/a><\/strong><\/em> (Greenwood, S.C.) where the Self Family Foundation is applauded for supporting the research, and more recently, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.indexjournal.com\/news\/study-shows-sc-montessori-students-outperform-their-peers\/article_d970f815-4306-5dae-835f-3022168c3431.html\">here<\/a><\/strong>, where the study&#8217;s author, Brooke Culclasure of the Riley Institute, said, &#8220;[South Carolina is] seen as a leader in Montessori, particularly in public schools, and that\u2019s &#8230; very impressive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, blogger Sarah D.
