Furman University has closed its campus for Wednesday, Jan. 17. All day and evening classes and other activities are canceled due to snow and freezing temperatures in the area.<\/p>\n
The Dining Hall will remain open until 7 p.m. for students. All other dining options on campus are closed. Students should use caution while walking on campus.<\/p>\n
The Physical Activities Center is open until 9:45 p.m. tonight. The James B. Duke Library is closed anytime the university is closed.<\/p>\n
The Furman women\u2019s basketball game scheduled for Wednesday night with East Tennessee State has been postponed and rescheduled for Thursday at 5 p.m. as part of a doubleheader. The men\u2019s team will play ETSU following the women\u2019s game.<\/p>\n
Employees should not report to campus on Wednesday unless directed otherwise by supervisors.<\/p>\n
The university will continue to monitor the weather throughout the evening and provide an update late tonight.<\/p>\n
