Sean Arnold, an eighth grader, suffers from Nephrotic Syndrome, a disease affecting his kidneys. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/wspa.com\/2017\/10\/04\/furman-football-team-berea-middle-student-share-special-friendship\/\">WSPA-TV<\/a><\/strong> reported on how the players visited Sean at his school and then made him a special guest of honor at the team\u2019s home game with East Tennessee State on Sept. 30.\u00a0 The Paladins also promised Sean a victory, and they delivered.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Furman football team has established a very special friendship with a student from Berea Middle School.
