The Furman Symphony Orchestra and Oratorio Chorus will present a concert Friday, April 21 at 8 p.m. in McAlister Auditorium on campus.<\/p>\n

The Spring Oratorio, \u201cMozart & Strauss,\u201d is a Sound Quality Concert Series event and is part of Furman\u2019s Cultural Life Program. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for students.<\/p>\n

Sponsored by Furman’s Department of Music, the Sound Quality Concert Series includes concerts featuring large ensembles, faculty chamber groups, and solo organ recitals.<\/p>\n

The Furman Symphony Orchestra (FSO), Furman Singers and Chorales close this academic year with a program featuring W.A. Mozart\u2019s \u201cCoronation Mass\u201d in C major, K. 317, and Death and Transfiguration <\/em>by Richard Strauss.<\/p>\n

Conductors for \u201cMozart & Strauss\u201d are Furman Music faculty members Thomas Joiner and William Thomas.<\/p>\n

Furman senior Kevin Edens of Marietta, S.C. provides organ accompaniment.<\/p>\n
