Those projects included cleaning up the area near the bridges on Poinsett Highway between Poinsett Flooring Outlet and Echols Oil, sprucing up the entrance to the Washington Heights neighborhood, working in the community gardens at the Brutontown Community Center, and making improvements to the playground near Poe Baptist Church and River of Life Church.<\/p>\n<p>The Furman volunteers concluded the day with a celebration on the Bruce property behind the Goodwill building.<\/p>\n<p>The Poinsett Corridor Revitalization Coalition is a collaborative venture to revitalize the Poinsett Highway corridor in order to establish a vibrant atmosphere conducive to economic development.<\/p>\n<p>PCRC members spent the month of March hosting community meetings to gather direct feedback and ideas from residents living in or near the Poinsett District. Meetings were held in the communities of Brutontown (March 1), New Washington (March 8), Poe Mill (March 15), and San Souci (March 22). In total, more than 100 citizens attended the meetings.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Furman, the PCRC partners include Greenville County, City of Greenville, Greenville Rec, SCDOT, GCRA, Trees Greenville, Arbor Engineering, Chick-fil-A Cherrydale, Duke Energy, McCall Capital, M.S.
