Four different organizations have been named award recipients by the Diversity and Inclusion Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Pam Davis, Director of Bridges to a Brighter Future, was awarded a grant for training Bridges Foundation summer program counselors and staff.<\/p>\n<p>With grant funds awarded to Undergraduate Evening Studies (UES), Director Beth Crews aims to extend Furman\u2019s reach into the Hispanic adult community through articles and advertising in <em>Latino <\/em>newspaper.<\/p>\n<p>Onyx Henry, Adjunct Professor in Modern Languages &amp; Literatures, received funds to bring students from Shelby High School to the Furman campus for a day.<\/p>\n<p>Another grant recipient, international student advisor Chrissy McCrary, will attend \u201cCrossing Cultures with Competence\u201d train-the-trainer program.<\/p>\n<p>Additional small grant applications will be available through the Office of Diversity and Inclusion in early fall 2016.
