APEC, a conglomeration of 21 member economies, aims to promote sustainable economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region. Two members of the Furman team, seniors Gray Johnson\u00a0(political science)\u00a0of Aiken and Mallary\u00a0Taylor (political science and psychology) of Greenville, wrote an op-ed for <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenvilleonline.com\/story\/opinion\/contributors\/2016\/03\/20\/inventor-ceo-and-obama-go-conference\/81593236\/\">The Greenville News<\/a><\/em><\/strong> about their experience at the meeting held last November in Manila.
