Nelsen, the Jane Fishburne Hipp Professor of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.furman.edu\/academics\/politics-international-affairs\/\">Politics and International Affairs<\/a>, said the vote of confidence might be enough to turn the candidate to a frontrunner in the Aug. 11 special election. Nelsen said that while Graham Nordone&#8217;s loyalty to Trump represents a &#8220;superpower,&#8221; her dearth of experience in public office could be her undoing.
