Furman’s Carolyn Carrier-McClimon<\/p><\/div>\n

The Furman Faculty Chamber Music Series will present a concert Friday, Jan. 15, at 8 p.m. in Daniel Recital Hall on campus. A reception follows the recital.<\/p>\n

The event is open to the public, and is part of Furman\u2019s Sound Quality Concert Series. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $5 for students\/youth.<\/p>\n

The 90-minute concert is hosted by Furman Music Theory and History Instructor Carolyn Carrier-McClimon. It features Furman music faculty who will present a diverse array of older and newer repertoire for chamber ensemble. Faculty performing are:<\/p>\n

Carrier-McClimon is a Ph.D. candidate in musicology at Indiana University where she most recently served as Associate Instructor of Music History. She received a bachelor\u2019s in piano performance from Furman University and a master\u2019s in piano performance from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Carrier-McClimon specializes in music of the early 19th century, and is currently working on her dissertation about Robert Schumann and his aesthetics of musical remembrance.<\/p>\n
