In the op-ed, \u201cThe Merkel Magic,\u201d the two wrote that \u201calthough some of Merkel\u2019s policies will remain controversial, her position as chancellor is secure.\u201d Both Greenstein and Tensley graduated from Furman with degrees in political science and German.
