COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.\u2014USA Triathlon has announced that the city of Greenville, along with Furman University, will serve as hosts for the 2018-19 USA Triathlon Duathlon National Championships.<\/p>\n

\"campus-lake-fall\"<\/a>Athletes will compete for age-group national titles in standard- and sprint-distance races, as well as spots on Team USA, the select group of amateur multisport athletes who represent the U.S. at International Triathlon Union (ITU) World Championship events. Specific race distances and course information will be shared on usatriathlon.org when available.<\/p>\n

The biking and running events for the USA Triathlon Duathlon National Championships will be headquartered on the Furman campus.<\/p>\n

Greenville was named the \u201c2nd Best Town Ever\u201d by Outside magazine, \u201c#7 Best in the U.S. 2015\u201d by Lonely Planet and is among the world\u2019s top six \u201c2015 Hot Spots for Travel\u201d by CBS News\u2019 travel editor, Peter Greenberg.<\/p>\n

Greenville is an ideal destination for sports events and tournaments, offering a central Southeast location nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and easy access via interstate highways and the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport.\u00a0 A wide variety of options for accommodations and dining for every budget makes the destination affordable for both teams and their families. Duathlon Nationals was recently in Saint Paul, Minnesota, for two years, and will head west to Bend, Oregon for the next two years. The 2016 Duathlon National Championships will be held on June 25, and the 2017 date is June 24.<\/p>\n
