For generations,\u00a0Furman University has found ways\u00a0to celebrate the triumphs and challenges\u00a0that come from being a\u00a0top liberal arts\u00a0and sciences institution while continuing\u00a0a tradition of progress,\u00a0innovation\u00a0and\u00a0leadership to ensure wins can be lauded for\u00a0years to come.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">And this is a time to celebrate\u00a0the big\u00a0things. A Bicentennial Celebration is about as big\u00a0a milestone as a higher education institution can achieve. Two centuries of learning \u2013\u00a0about itself and its students \u2013 is a feat that only a handful of colleges can claim. Two\u00a0centuries of helping students build their worldviews, find their place in their\u00a0community\u00a0and understand that they are a part of something bigger than themselves.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0an\u00a0accomplishment to be\u00a0heralded\u00a0and one Furman plans to celebrate all year long.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This year also marks a milestone for Furman magazine. This publication has been in\u00a0circulation for 75\u00a0years\u00a0and we plan to show how far\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0come with this special\u00a0commemorative\u00a0issue.
