Furman University is offering a new benefit for students admitted through Early Action and Regular Decision admission rounds who enroll by April 1: Early course registration for their first-semester, first-year courses.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Class of 2030 is taking shape fast, and it\u2019s inspiring to see so many future Paladins ready to start their journey,\u201d said Melissa Cline, associate vice president for Enrollment Management and Success. \u201cEarly course registration only heightens the anticipation and makes this an especially exciting moment for our newest students.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRegistering early will help you whether you are sure of what you want to major in or not,\u201d said Patrick Guinee \u201926, a politics and international affairs major and Paladin Admissions Liaison (PAL). Furman\u2019s PALs serve as ambassadors and connect with prospective students while leading campus tours.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you don\u2019t know where your exact interests lie, you\u2019ll want to take classes that help you narrow down your options while still fulfilling general education requirements,\u201d Guinee said.<\/p>\n

Furman is consistently ranked among the best in the nation for welcoming new students. U.S. News and World Report\u2019s Best Colleges 2026 rankings listed Furman as No. 18 for \u201cBest First-Year Experience,\u201d ahead of schools including Duke, Notre Dame and Bucknell.<\/p>\n

For Micah Clarke \u201926, another PAL and a health sciences major, the support students get coming into Furman is her favorite aspect of life on campus.<\/p>\n
