WLI\u00a0is designed for women who have demonstrated successful leadership, community involvement and a desire to help others. It brings together a unique and powerful blend of knowledge shared by accomplished business leaders and experts from the academic community addressing real world challenges and creative opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>Says Victoria Kirby, Director of the Center for Corporate and Professional Development, \u201cWe live in an increasingly global society and are faced with economic, political and cultural challenges. Now, more than ever, we need inspired leaders\u2014women who can be transformative in business, politics and communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Furman University\u2019s premier professional leadership conference is led by women who have achieved prominence in business and in the community. They share their successes and struggles to demonstrate how women excel in their careers, become more effective leaders, engage in their communities and build a powerful network.<\/p>\n<p>Self-nominations are encouraged.
