Lisa Lambert, a 1980 Furman University biology alumna and longtime professor and administrator at Pittsburgh\u2019s Chatham University, has been named the university\u2019s 21st president. Lambert, who graduated Furman magna cum laude, was a Phi Beta Kappa inductee. She went on to earn her Ph.D. in genetics at Indiana University-Bloomington in 1985, the same year she joined Chatham as a biology faculty member.<\/p>\n
At Chatham, Lambert held several roles including chair of the science department, founding program director for the master\u2019s biology program, associate dean for academic affairs and assistant vice president of undergraduate learning. She also served as provost and vice president of academic affairs and has filled the role of interim president since June.<\/p>\n
