Citing statistics from ReadyNation and other sources, DePaoli says, &#8220;childcare programs must be recognized as economic infrastructure&#8221; and &#8220;affordable childcare is not a handout. It is an important investment in our workforce, our economy and our children\u2019s futures.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>DePaoli, originally from Columbia, South Carolina, interned with the Institute for Child Success through the Riley Institute Summer Experience (RISE).
