Several news sources covered the event, which took place in Orlando, Florida. Among them were NBC&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.counton2.com\/news\/local-news\/charleston-native-tess-ferm-crowd-miss-americas-teen-2026\/\">WCBD-Charleston<\/a>, CBS&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.live5news.com\/2025\/09\/08\/charleston-high-school-graduate-named-miss-americas-teen-2026\/\">WCSC-Charleston<\/a>, ABC affiliate <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews4.com\/news\/local\/charlestons-tess-ferm-crowned-miss-americas-teen-2026-wciv-abc-news-4-charleston-sc-south-carolina-miss-america-porter-gaud-furman-university#\">WCIV-Orlando<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coladaily.com\/communities\/sc-teen-wins-miss-americas-teen-crown\/article_aeb8d54d-96fb-4816-9414-e403cf39f0b3.html\">Cola Daily.<\/a> She will receive $30,000 in scholarships and will serve as a brand ambassador for the Miss America\u2019s Teen program.\u00a0Ferm is also the winner of the national \u201cTeens in Action\u201d award for her work to support those with food allergies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing Miss America\u2019s Teen means representing possibility,&#8221; she told WCSC. &#8220;It\u2019s about showing that teens are not just the future, but the now &#8211; ready to lead, to innovate, and to make a real difference in our schools, our communities, and across the country.
