Photo: WSPA<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span data-offset-key=\"687cs-0-0\">On sunny days, the more than 2,000 <\/span><span data-offset-key=\"687cs-1-0\">solar panels<\/span><span data-offset-key=\"687cs-2-0\"> located in a field across from <\/span><span data-offset-key=\"687cs-3-0\">Furman University<\/span><span data-offset-key=\"687cs-4-0\"> generate as much as 25% of the university&#8217;s power needs. On average, accounting for changing weather conditions and cloud cover, they produce 5% of Furman&#8217;s power year to year. They also provide a tangible way to teach sustainability and power generation.
