Fleming, a professor of politics and international affairs, commented on the results of a republican poll gauging name recognition and approval among the five GOP candidates. While it’s still very early in the primary conversation, Fleming said Mace is attracting name recognition, which is important in early polling. He also added that voters will look for a “strong, conservative candidate, but the most right-wing candidate doesn’t always win.” He said, ultimately, voters want a functional government whose leaders are “looking out for them” and those who are providing a “positive message for the future.”<\/p>\n
The story also ran in USA Today network outlet Independent Mail<\/a>.
