In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.postandcourier.com\/opinion\/commentary\/sc-social-science-research-government-cut-ideological-war\/article_965a3cd0-ee3b-11ef-aca3-a38cf448099e.html\">The Post and Courier<\/a>, he writes an op-ed that lays out the folly in the Senate Commerce Committee&#8217;s move to rescind 28 research grants set to bring $19 million to South Carolina in the coming months, and more broadly, a halt to finding &#8220;answers to real and pressing problems.&#8221; Kolb added, &#8220;The loss of economic investment in the state is only part of the problem.
