\"Lecrae<\/a>Furman University will host Grammy award-winning hip-hop artist Lecrae Saturday, April 11, at 7 p.m. in Timmons Arena on campus. Doors open at 6 p.m. Also featured in the concert are Andy Mineo and DJ Promote.<\/p>\n

Lecrae\u2019s tour, \u201cAnomaly,\u201d is based on the same-titled album released last fall. General admission tickets are $26-$45, and are available through the Timmons Arena box office. Deluxe packages are available. The tour is presented by Live Nation and Premier Productions.<\/p>\n

Lecrae\u2019s seventh studio album, Anomaly<\/em> quickly rose to critical acclaim. The album officially debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart as well as several other Billboard charts including Digital Album, Rap Album, Christian Album and Gospel Album.<\/p>\n

As noted by Billboard Magazine<\/em>, \u201cAnomaly<\/em> is the Grammy winner’s sixth No. 1 on the Gospel Albums chart and his fifth leader on Christian Albums \u2026 Anomaly<\/em> is the first title to crown both Gospel Albums and the Billboard 200, and just the fifth set to lead both Christian Albums and the Billboard 200.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since his album\u2019s debut, Lecrae has twice performed on \u201cThe Tonight Show,\u201d performed around the country with Andy Mineo on his official \u201cAnomaly\u201d tour and, most recently, received three Grammy nominations including Best Rap Performance (Drake, Eminem, Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar and Lecrae). In February, he won his second Grammy award (Best Contemporary Christian Song\/Performance) in the past three years. Also last year, he made history as a co-headliner on Winter Jam, the #1 ticketed tour in the country (as rated by Pollstar).<\/p>\n

The album features guest artists Andy Mineo, Kari Jobe, for King and Country and Crystal Nicole. The album\u2019s single \u201cAll I Need Is You\u201d debuted at #1 on the iTunes Hip-Hop chart and predicted the eventual success of Anomaly<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Lecrae has been praised by mainstream and hip-hop press alike with features in Time Magazine<\/em>, The Atlantic<\/em>, Huffington Post<\/em>, Entertainment Weekly<\/em>, XXL<\/em>, Essence Magazine<\/em>, Billboard<\/em> and Vibe Magazine<\/em>, among others. Radio personality and MTV News Executive Producer Sway Calloway recently proclaimed Lecrae\u2019s music as the \u201cEvolution of Hip-Hop.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lecrae, known for his music message that is often at odds with his hip-hop peers, speaks of monogamy, contentment, and faith. While remaining true to his beliefs, Lecrae has managed to garner critical media buzz, release chart-topping albums and mixtapes, co-headline the highest ticketed tour in the country, and draw several Grammy nominations.<\/p>\n
