In 2020, the county saw a dramatic move in voting behaviors, shifting by a narrow margin to republican for the first time in decades. But the Harris\/Walz ticket could swing things the other direction, Vinson said, and motivate voters nonplussed by Biden. She pointed out that Hillary Clinton had little chance of winning South Carolina in 2016, but women voters came out to the polls on the prospect of ushering in the nation&#8217;s first female president.
