General admission tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students\/youth. Tickets are available at the door and through Ticketmaster.<\/p>\n<p>The 36-member cast of student-run Furman Pauper Players presents \u201cShrek The Musical,\u201d based on the award-winning DreamWorks animation film, and adapted from the Broadway production. The musical is a tale of Shrek and his \u2018loyal steed,\u2019 Donkey. They embark on a mission to rescue Princess Fiona from a Dragon under Lord Farquaad\u2019s employ. During the journey, the unlikeliest characters fall in love. Add crazy fairytale creatures and a singing gingerbread man, and you have the makings of a great show.<\/p>\n<p>Open to all Furman students, the Furman Pauper Players organization provides motivated students with the opportunity to sharpen skills in leadership, communication, performance, cooperation and responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>Furman sophomore James Douglas of Rome, Ga. directs the musical.
